Elte Kecheln is the former head of the Elte merchant Company and adoptive father of Lortelle Kecheln. Formerly one of the richest men in the empire and one of its biggest merchants, who was ousted from his position due to him losing a large sum of money after attempting to manipulate the price of armour after the massive monster hunt in the eastern mountains along with his competitors before they cut him out of the profits and joined hands with Lortelle Kecheln.
Appearance[]
Elte is a middle aged man with greying brown, combed back hair, and goatee. He frequently wears business suits as well as many pieces of jewelry .
Personality[]
Elte is a ruthless and unscrupulous business magnate at his core, a trait that he has passed down to his adoptive daughter. He is willing to use any means necessary, no matter the moral and legal concerns, to get what he wants. He bears no love for Lortelle, and is willing to have her tortured and killed to reclaim his position as head of the company and even kill students at the Sylvenia Academy.
History[]
At an unknown time prior to the events at Sylvenia Academy, Elte murdered Lortelle's parents and adopted Lortel, an event Lortelle would later learn of.
Lortelle had secretly been scheming to ruin Elte's financial reputation due to him losing a large sum of money after attempting to manipulate the price of armour after the massive monster along with his competitors before they started selling the armour behind his back and joined hands with Lortelle to oust him from the company. However, Elte would learn of this plan after one of Lortelle's conspirators at Sylvania secretly defected and leaked the plan to him. Thus, he personally traveled to the academy himself to apprehend Lortelle. However, Ed Rothstaylor, Yennekar Palerover, and Jikks Efflstein opposed Elte and could not be bought off with money. Elte's attempt to maintain his position of power and bring Lortelle to ruin ended up being thwarted as Elte could not capture Lortelle due to Ed's plan of hiding her in his home. He later returned to the merchant headquarters to make a final stand but in the end was unable to hold his position.
